Movie Review: Nobody

Nobody

I was kind of shocked to see Bob Okenkirck play a role like this since it isn't his type of movie, but I thought he actually played the character very well and fitted the character, unlike some actors who try to be in action movies and cannot be taken seriously. We follow a family man named Hutch who lives a pretty boring life every day, but after one night when his house gets robbed and he fails to protect his family and stop the robbers, he fills up with anger for not doing what he is supposed to and goes out looking for trouble anywhere he can.

Nobody / House Robbery Scene ("What The F, Dad?") | Movie CLIP 4K - YouTube

One of my favourite scenes in this movie is the bus scene, in which he unloads his gun like a total freak and fights the couple of hecklers, and we get some of the best action ever. The best kill in this scene has to be when he pulls off one of the poles and smacks the Russian kid, and when he's down on the ground and can't breathe, he slits his throat a little bit and puts a straw in it so he can breathe, which is probably the most disrespectful beating and insult ever. In some action movies, the main character rarely gets hurt, and I appreciate that they didn't do that with this movie, where we see him get beat up multiple times and shot in some instances.

Nobody - Plugged In

We find out that the Russian kid he almost killed is actually the brother of a Russian mob leader called Yulian. They break into his house, which is again another great action, and in the aftermath, he burns down his house with the bodies. One of the other things I admire are the montages. It's so soothing hearing and seeing music play in the back with some of the kills slowed down while witnessing an action scene. Hutch gives Yulian a second chance of his life since he doesn't have a root for evil, the obashack, which he does not accept and continues with the choas, which is something Butch kind of wished for too. The ending concludes when his dad and Harry, his brother, help him kill the rest of the Russian mob at the warehouse, which features some of the most creative kills ever. We then see Hutch back with his wife looking for a new house, and then he gets a call, which we can see isn't a good one and that the Russians might still be after him, and this leads us to think there might be a sequel to this movie. Overall, this is a very fun movie, and it features some of the best action in a movie in a long time.
